Beautiful Art

I love painting and hopefully will get around to doing it more before school starts again. It is such a fun way to express yourself. Recently I came across this artist, Michelle Armas, and her work is BEAUTIFUL. I have always admired abstract art that can blend so many colors and create such movement. I will definitely be purchasing a piece of hers sometime in the future, in the meantime I plan on trying to create my own works in a similar style.

Butterflies!

When Robby and I were on our honeymoon down in Key West we had to stop by the butterfly house to get a souvenir for my mom. We bought her a super cute butterfly in a lucite frame. I have since decided that someday I would like to have some lucite framed butterflies. Some how being framed in lucite really helps make them pop and look more like art rather than a science classroom. Here is a neat one on ebay that I am thinking about getting.

Butterflies are popping up all over in interior design and have been used in some great rooms!

He said Yes!!!

Robby finally agreed to let me buy something off of craigslist. :) We have been looking into purchasing our first home and as a result I have of course been dreaming of decorating each house we look at. This has resulted in many a craigslist search. ( Also for those of you who search craigslist from time to time you must download and use the "easy" button. It lets you view your search showing the pictures!! Instead of clicking and opening each title to see what the object looks like.

Using this tool I came across this super cute bench! {via}

I had originally envisioned it at the foot of our bed in our new master bedroom looking something like this :
