So Mr. Ryans birthday was on monday and I wanted to make him a cake. I also wanted to make him a Fondant covered cake!! I had never done this before and so i googled around for a recipe and found one for marshmallow fondant here It doesnt taste all that great but it was fun to make and the cake turned out beautifully :)
Also the other pic is of a bamboo console table I bought for robby and my future place :)....he doesnt know about this yet.... im hoping it goes over ok. Im thinking about painting it either a dark blue/grey color or a fun orangey-red color. But im going to get his imput on that decision. I have looved all of the faux bamboo furniture that is oh so hollywood regency but havent been able to find anything like that in the thrift stores or on craigslist around here. Then yesterday I went to second chance thrift over off of shore drive and saw this little beauty, and at $39 bucks i decided the price was right for a fun little furniture makeover. As you can see it needs some TLC. Also I sawed off the little decorative tops to try and make it look more modern and clean. Hopefully this turns out ok:) more pics soon!

hey girl! you're so dang creative! i cannot believe you made fondant! that is crazy & super cool. the cake looks awesome! can't wait to see what you do with the bamboo table! miss you so much! but i'll be seeing you in three weeks! love ya!
